Braxton's plastic surgery

Brenner has had an extra flap of skin on his right ear since birth. We wanted to get it removed since then, but had to wait until a certain age. Finally that day came this Monday. Mommy (and Daddy, but not as much) were very nervous, mainly due to the fact that he would be totally put under for a while.

We arrived at the Children's Hospital at 6am, they took him back at 7:30 after marking his ear with a purple x. Laura sent me to the cafeteria to grab her a bagel while she sat in the room nervous as hell. As I was getting on the elevator to bring the bagel back, I got a call from Laura saying "they're done, it went well, and he'll be back in here in 5 minutes!"

So, he did great, the surgery went well, and his only imperfection is now gone. We left the house at 5:30am and were back home already just after 9am!

Just arriving at the hospital, in the waiting room

Getting weighed in the room

Getting ready to go back, Mommy getting increasingly nervous

Reading with Daddy before going back.

Before picture of the "ear piece"

The nurse blowing bubbles to Braxton in the hallway

The ear marked with an "x" before surgery

Handing over to the nurse with the door to the surgery room in the background. Mommy not doing so well at this point.

Just after getting back. Ear piece gone, just a small red dot now!

About 3 hours later at home, eating lunch.
