Brenner's Soccer Career Begins!

Brenner had his first soccer game this past weekend. He's playing in Roswell's Happy Feet league and he's on the Royal Rhinos. Mason is on the same team so that's an added bonus

We were afraid that Brenner wouldn't be too into it but we were wrong. He really loved the game. When we pulled up he said "I'm so excited to play!". Though he didn't score any goals, he was involved, went after the ball quite a bit, made a few runs, played some defense (he's much more interested in defense, he even told me at home before the game when he thought he could be goalie - "No one's gonna score on me, they're gonna be so frustrated! I'm gonna say 'No goals for you, boys!'")

He had a huge smile on his face most of the time while playing and he got very excited for his team every time they scored (including the 2 that Mason scored). Brenner seems to be the youngest on the team (most seem to be 4, with at least one 5 year old), but he hangs. Most of the rest of the team also go to Young Life day care and all knew each other as well as knowing Coach Tony because he works with that day care fairly often.

Brenner is in the back of this play, but you can see him run up after Jacob scores. He's very excited for the goal!

Game on! Brenner mainly focused on defense.

You can see the huge smile on his face, it was there pretty much all game!
